Get Involved

The Church is a community, God’s community. The Bible is filled with descriptions of the church as a family, and that is our goal at Deerfield Presbyterian Church, to represent God’s family. We would love for you to come and experience this family in the context of our established Bible studies as well as our regular Coffee Hours following our Sunday Worship Service.

We also host regular gatherings to spend time together as a church, such as our Deerfield Recital Series (Hyperlink to Events page) as well as events throughout the year meant to draw us closer together as a church, such as a bonfire and s’mores night, hikes through the park, and board game brunches.

Discipleship

To be a disciple means to be a follower. This is a central directive given by Jesus to the Church: to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing, and teaching them to observe all that Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19). At Deerfield, we seek to make disciples by teaching the truth of God’s Word found in the Bible through various midweek studies and our Sunday School classes, live out this discipleship within the context of our church, and to serve one another and our community, just as Jesus served.

Service

When we look at the life of Jesus, we observe that he spoke the truth and demonstrated love in his actions towards those around him. His physical healings and miracles all pointed to the spiritual healing that takes place at the cross. We truly believe that Jesus has called his church to serve, love, and speak the truth in the context of our community and to support these efforts all around the world. While we are currently exploring new ways to engage our community, it has been a joy to serve The Village at Seabrook through planting a community garden to engage with the residents there, and many members of our church volunteer and serve throughout our community in various capacities. We also support a number of local organizations who care for those in our surrounding area and carefully partner with our evangelism and global workers around the world.
